Tiger Prawns with Spiced Pineapple Salsa

Not to brag but many people have said this recipe is the best prawns they’ve ever eaten. It’s an absolute show stopper! This is a must for the Christmas table, and really all summer long! This is so freaking easy and so tasty everyone will be applauding you! 


Cooked Tiger Prawns (Can do raw and cook yourself also) 

½ Pineapple 


Fresh Red or Green Chilli 


Curry Traders Asian BBQ Rub 


  1. Prep your prawns! Peel and devein your prawns. 
  2. Chop your pineapple into small cubes. Slice your chilli (we used about half a large chilli, but you do as much as you like to your taste.) Very thinly slice a handful of coriander stems,
  3. In a hot cast iron pan or hot BBQ grill add ¾ of your pineapple. Then char the pineapple, coriander and chilli. Once halfway cooked add a tablespoon of our Curry Traders Asian BBQ Rub. Continue to cook until just soft and cooked through. You want that nice blacked edges or that smokey flavour! Whilst still in the pan add the juice of half a lemon and a big pinch of salt and pepper. 
  4. In a bowl add your cooked salsa, the remaining of your fresh pineapple and a small handful of fresh coriander leaves. Taste it, and add salt, pepper, and lemon to taste.
  5. On a long platter add your cooked prawns and top with our flavourful pineapple salsa. Sprinkle with a little more of our Curry Traders Asian BBQ Rub and enjoy!
